First Time Visitors
What should You expect?
1. We're here to help.
Where is the nursery? Is there a class for my 8 year old? Do the teens meet somewhere? Where do I go? These are common questions people have when they first walk into our doors. Our ushers are in the lobby and around the building, and they are happy to help you with any need you may have.
2. Worship is important.
Is your worship conservative or contemporary? For what ages is your Jr. Church? Do visitors have to stand up and introduce themselves? At First Baptist Church, we want your whole family to worship the Lord with us. Our services are designed to lift up, exalt, and magnify the Lord Jesus Christ in a conservative manner. We do not single out visitors but make a guest card available so that we have record of their visit. We dismiss our Jr. Church just before the morning message so that our children (3yrs-1st grade) can be taught an age-appropriate lesson from the Bible.
3. We are intentional.
Why do you do what you do? When you visit, you will probably see that everything we do has a purpose. Our music is designed to engage people with Scriptural truths to help them worship. Our preaching is expository (verse-by-verse) in order to give applicable understanding of God's Word. Our Wednesday service emphasizes prayer, and our regular get-togethers encourage fellowship.
